  1. I’ve seen some pretty stinky movies and come away with an appreciation of them, but one of the biggest theatrical disappointments for me was a movie based on a book which I thought was awesome. Unfortunately the movie didn’t do it justice and I came away feeling that my mind had been raped. The movie was called The Time Traveler’s Wife. It is kind of a chick-book, but there’s some really awesome sci-fi shit in there too. You’ll like it, go read it! The movie blew chunks, you could probably live without seeing it.

  2. Byron, I’ve never seen the movie, but I listened to the audio book on my iPod. I actually thought the book pretty much blew chunks also….

  3. If I ever do a podcast this long, I’m just going to call it THE GODFATHER. Always glad to hear a new episode of the show, even though I technically just downloaded it and haven’t listened yet. In a recent episode you mentioned THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION being remade on Howard the Duck’s home planet…dare we call it the WAAAUGHSHANK REDEMPTION? Also, Abe Vigoda was a traitor to the family, and you won’t see Pauly ’round here no more.

  4. Carrie, if you think The Time Traveller’s Wife was lousy as a movie and a book, wait for the TV series. Yes, I heard ABC was developing a pilot for the series. (I guess the executives were thinking of a female Quantum Leap or Doctor Who thing. Since I no longer work in TV I don’t care.)

Anyway, I think it was courageous that Luke revealed the contents of Da Sienkowski’s Notebook. A lot of people misunderstand the use of ideas. They get an idea and they hang onto it, sometimes ragging the poor thing to shreds in an attempt to do something with it. But like other creative folk, Luke knows that ideas are all over the place, and if one doesn’t work out, you go to the next one. Or the one after that.

Thanks for the peek behind the curtain, Luke. It must have been as embarrassing as you showing the contents of your underwear drawer. Or that box in your basement with all those hentae stories about Scrotor.

Say hello to the gopher and the rabbit. (Funny, but the Luke Gopher in the web page cartoon is eating veggies and the Carrie Rabbit isn’t. That ain’t the way I remember you guys.)

  5. Yea cool. My family used to have bad movie night. Harold and Maude was one of the movies we watched as was the original Death Race 2000! my favorite bad movie is Sam Ramis Lunitics. The only movie that was bad enough we never finished was Wil Wheaton’s The Curse. Loved this episode. Not only did you play my favorite all time Weird Al song…but you sang a parody of it!
