Episode #005 – Burping Is Eternal

I’m sorry, I really am… This episode is 1 hour and 43 minutes long. It was an accident. In my defense, there are 4 songs, the last of which at the tail end of the episode is actually a 10 minute medley of all the songs from the movie “Joe’s Apartment”. The others are by the Chris Waffle Experience, Paul & Storm, and Carrie’s vocal octet, Nothing But Treble. In this episode we contemplate musical stinger themes for the segments of our show, Carrie talks about her trip to Vienna, Austria, Luke rants incessantly about the perceptions of certain children’s movies and calls you all a bunch of f***ing a**holes (again, I’m sorry).  There’s also News of the Stupid, Carrie talks some smack about an unnamed celebrity, and some tales of ignorance in which Luke reveals how gullible he was in his mid-20s. Oh, and here’s a link to Smitecast, because Carrie decreed that I put one here. I promise, the episodes will be shorter in the future. Really, I do.

Episode #004 – Admirable, Or Sad? You Decide!

Actually, this episode is “Luke & Carrie & Matt & Ken & Josh’s Bad Rapport”, since this episode was recorded at Matt “Fringe” Duhan’s place just before his “Time Bandits” movie party, along with Ken “Madman On The Loose” Sherlock, and Josh “Mr. Carrie Dahlby” Rasey.

In this episode we discuss who from the FuMP we’d cast in the Rocky Horror Picture Show, “Luke Rants” about sex and the Heathcliff cartoon, and also gets more analytical than NASA deconstructing his updated list of his Top 50 most popular songs amongst his fans.*

We also play an oldie but goodie by Tom Smith, an awesome punk cover by the Toy Dolls, and end the show with a track by a group called Googie & Joe’s Workshop that’s so rare Dr. Demento only played it once ever back in 1982. I dare anybody to do a cover version of it.

Episode #003 – Expect The Unexpected

Against our better judgment and the sound advice of others, the episodes are getting longer. In this episode we talk about our respective Halloween experiences, Luke tells the story of his big Fat epic win, we review Schaffer the Darklord’s new CD “Manslaughterer”, and News of the Stupid gets much too silly.  Also, in a new recurring segment called “Luke Rants Incessantly About Some Bullshit His Brain Won’t Shut Up About” (thank you ShoEboX for naming that for me), Luke wails, moans, and gnashes his teeth over the greatest cinematic crime of 1993. We also play a new topical song by Steve Goodie and a classic by Julie Brown.

Speaking of which, if you are, or know of, any female comedy music acts looking for shows interested in playing their stuff, please tell us about them and send them our way. We want to make a specific effort to feature comedy music by women on the show regularly.

Also, please let me know how the overall audio quality is of the show, so I know if I am doing this right. Thanks.

Episode #002 – The Neverending Gig Story

In a surprise move, Luke & Carrie decide to record episode #2 a week earlier than originally planned, because Luke is dying to tell the very long winded story of his bar gig last weekend that has no satisfying climactic payoff whatsoever for the listener. They also spend way too much time discussing your comments from episode 1, and Carrie talks some smack about another PodCast that she refused to name. Thank god for the new songs by Tom Smith and Flight of the ConChords, as well as News of the Stupid, or this episode, even longer than the first, would be completely unlistenable.

Songs played this week by: Tom Smith, Flight of the Conchords, and Carrie Dahlby featuring Devo Spice

Episode #000 – Luke & Carrie Finally Get Off Their Butts And Do Something

LCBRlogoComing in mid-October 2009, it’s “Luke & Carrie’s Bad Rapport”, a new PodCast based on all the old PodCasts, with your hosts the great Luke Ski and Carrie Dahlby. Join them as they drone on and on about whatever they feel like yapping about, as they constantly interrupt each other and pick fights with each other over silly pop-culture issues that don’t matter and no one cares about. The monotony will be broken up by a few comedy songs, both old and new, as well as “NEWS OF THE STUPID”, done with the blessing of Devo Spice (host of the formerly existent PodCast “Manic Mondays”) as compiled by Cary Whitney (feel free to submit stories to us as well). So if you’re looking for something that’s better than nothing to listen to while at work, on your drive, or bla bla bla whatever sign up for the feed and listen to it. It’s your call, bucko.
