Welcome to our St. Patrick’s Day episode in which we do not mention or reference St. Patrick’s Day at all. Well, there is one mention of mucus, which is green, but I don’t think that counts. In this episode we spend the whole time crawling up our own asses and talking about ourselves and our recent concerts, songs, videos, puppet projects, etc., including a MarsCon wrap-up that clocks in at a brief 43 minutes. New songs by Luke & Carrie, a track by Cirque du So What, and another track that is frog-related. Hey! That’s a green thing! Go us!

I think the use of “pussy” meaning “weakling” is generally considered PG or PG-13 at the worst.

So here I am listening at work and the volume is up really high because the levels are low but still understandable. Then Luke starts to cry about nobody reading his e-mails right up into the microphone and my co-workers are now looking at me for listening to the guy cry about his e-mails being ignored. Fun stuff!
Carrie and I agree that Meanwhile… really stands out. I think it’s really the Luke’s Characture stand bit at the end.

Ok, finished it now without having to quickly reach for my volume control again.
I do remember HBO doing shorts between films. Although I don’t remember Gizmo, I do remember one where a guy is working on a film cutting parts out or something and the film comes alive and eats him. That was traumatizing for a kid so young. That’s why I got into comedy music and not film editing.
I was talking with Chris yesterday about the whole TILE phenomena and made reference to how it reminded me of the Gumbys. He mentioned that the Gumbys weren’t even a consideration in the making of it, so if you can go into some Cirque du So What origins, that would be good. Other songs for origin stories are “Sex Kittens From Mars” and “Map Light”.

Yes, big time rookie mistake on my part. I’m rather ashamed of that, I must admit. Thanks for the kind words about my rough-starting set.
But “pissed” is a swear word? Hmm. Never considered that.
Still…Marscon was awesome. I promise, if I’m there next year, I promise…no enjoying the other acts! (Well, not so vigorously, at least).

Also…we need to do My Parents Bought Me Intellivision again at Penguicon. That was a highlight of the weekend for me.

I remember Gizmo! Saw it many, many times on HBO. Very clever use of music and old footage. I found it on the intertubes if you have uTorrent and some patience…

I’m downloading it now myself, but if the seeding doesn’t move any faster I’m also in the closed community Cinemageddon where I *know* I can get it. I’d send you an invite but they don’t trust us regular joes to give them out.

Or, you could just watch the dang thing on YouTube. Even better.

I just love the description of the episode. Made me lol. Also love the photo. Your Rip is frighteningly accurate.

Hey guys,
I’ve now taken to keeping a note pad next to me while I listen to keep track of all the comments I want to make. The show is so long(not a bad thing) that I forget half the things by the time I go to comment. Any how…
Flippin the Flippy Floppy started at Confusion. Bahb played a game where he was challenged to come up with and get ppl to use a new phrase. I think it has worked.
I could TOTALLY tell that it was Luke’s fake mad at the smack down. I actually thought he could have done a slightly better job of making his maddness more real for the bit. I’m vastly surprised any one thought that was real, but I guess I know Luke well.
Carrie, a person who looks like a goth but acts all happy and smiley is called a “perky goth.” Such a common phrase that it’s a card in Muchkin if I’m remembering correctly(which is a total craps shoot some times).
Any how, Keep flippin the flippy floopy and remember, comments go at the beginning of a show (:
