This is the second episode in a row where the image posted with it is of Carrie and her cat Willow. However, this is the first episode where I attempt to attach the image to the MP3 file so that it appears on your player while you’re listening to it. So let me know if that worked. In this episode we talk about the video games we’ve been playing lately, dieting, and working on art for a living. There’s also News of the Stupid, and songs by Flat 29 with Luke Ski and Carrie D., Positude, Mikey Mason, and Adam English. Normally I make these descriptions longer and wittier, but I can’t think of anything like that to add, so I’ll just stop.

Carrie: I’d be more than happy to be a Luke stand-in for a Ski-less Bad Rapport. I’ve been doing this family friendly podcast (Gilmore Girls Re-watch podcast, ding) for 6 months now and I miss being able to cuss on mic. 😉
Luke: Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was starting to feel like the only guy in the podcasting community who didn’t care for FarScape.
Luke I wish you the best in your plan to lose weight. -=ShoEboX=- weight lost was amazing and I’ve thought about trying it as well. Weight Watch might be better because of the support group environment might be better. See you Luke at Penguicon and tell me if you need help at the con.
Robotron 2084 was one of the specific games I wanted to play at Galloping Ghost Arcade when we went there. However, it along with Defender and about a quarter of their games were out of order. The coowner explained that they are constantly working on repairing and refurbishing their large number of games that are up to and more than 30 years old.
I know that the next time I am in the Brookfield area (same town as the zoo), I will go back. 9415 W. Odgen Ave (US 34) Brookfield, IL.
As someone who has lost 30 lb since Jan and hope to lose much more I hope you are able to be successful yourself. Please realize that it took you years to get from your ideal weight to where you are now and that it will take months to get back to it.
As far as how, since I did it through WW while other attempts failed about 15-20 lb, stating that WW was the reason is logical. However, remembering about how past attempts failed and how to avoid repeating them definitely constibuted to my current situation.
Love the chibi of Carrie and Willow.
I think instead of video games, lately, I’ve been working on jigsaw puzzles. Does anyone still do those any more? There’s currently a 1000 piece London scene half finished on my card table, and two more puzzles waiting to be put together when that one’s done. Yay impulse items at Costco.
It seems to me that the core of any good diet is to pay attention to what you’re eating and don’t eat more calories than you need. Everything else is just details and strategies. But I’ve never been actively trying to lose weight, so what do I know?
With regards to losing weight, I’ve been going vegan and taking krav maga. I’m not fully there yet (have yet to give up poultry, fish, and dairy), but I’ve been red meat free for months now and that alone has led to quite an improvement in how I feel day to day, and the tightest pair of pants I had, well, they’re still too tight, but I can zip them now. Maybe they’ll get even looser now that I’ve started phasing out pork.
