Episode #015.5 – Cirque du So What: LOST in Canada

Even though this is not a full-fledged episode, a fact made most apparent by an almost complete lack of Carrie Dahlby and News of the Stupid, somehow this episode still managed to hit the 2 1/2 hour mark. This episode was made as a bonus for everyone out there who is a fan of the new sketch comedy group, “Cirque du So What?”, comprised of Devo Spice, ShoEboX of Worm Quartet, Chris Mezzolesta of Power Salad, and yours truly, the great Luke Ski. In it we answer all your questions and give you behind the scenes stories of the making of our first album, “Procrastinators of the Apocalypse”, with some segments recorded at KeyCon in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Canada! Home of the Arrogant Worms! At the end of the episode, I recorded a special segment in which I discuss the series finale of “LOST” with the effervescent Voice Of Kiki, because she had a lot of interesting thoughts on her blog, and because Carrie doesn’t watch “Lost”. So if you’re not into CdSW or Lost, just skip this episode, we’ll have a new regular one complete with Carrie and Stupid News up in a few days. At the very least go look at the new YouTube video of a CdSW track that Sara, Chris, and I made.

  1. My wife and I really liked Voice Of Kiki’s initial analysis of the Lost ending. Luke’s explanation of the last episode and the alternate universe now makes more sense, but I’m still left too many unanswered questions.

IMHO, the “it was all a dream” crutch-ending has only worked well once. This was on the final episode of the Newhart show. But then again, it was used satirically.

One of the squeals that I wish had been made would have been Goonies 2. I figure that the main characters would likely now have their own kids; and it was time for them to go on their own adventure. It would be sure to catch the Gen-X crowd and their kids, but sadly Hollywood needs to make another SNL spin-off.

All four of you had great shows at KeyCon despite the FUBARs with the room turn-overs. The Dumb Fanfic Awards skit was just precious. Can’t wait for the next CdSW album.
