On today’s show, we have songs by Hard ‘N Phirm, Paul & Storm, Billy West, and the Gothsicles. Carrie talks about Christian Rock at Dunkin Donuts, her weird husband, and her lack of spare time to watch TV shows and go to movies. Luke talks about over-Tweeting, the origins of Sex Kittens, and Saturday morning cartoon preview specials. Oh, and he’s going to jail. He’d better hang onto the soap, or he’ll learn the real meaning of ‘bitch ball’.
Welcome to our St. Patrick’s Day episode in which we do not mention or reference St. Patrick’s Day at all. Well, there is one mention of mucus, which is green, but I don’t think that counts. In this episode we spend the whole time crawling up our own asses and talking about ourselves and our recent concerts, songs, videos, puppet projects, etc., including a MarsCon wrap-up that clocks in at a brief 43 minutes. New songs by Luke & Carrie, a track by Cirque du So What, and another track that is frog-related. Hey! That’s a green thing! Go us!
Carrie and I called her husband Josh (pictured left) and spent 30 minutes on the phone last night trying to figure out how to save the audio file of our 2-hour recorded podcast on Goldwave which had frozen on us. We gave up, and I whipped up and posted Episode 9 1/2 in its absence. This morning I got up to find an email from Josh with the solution, and the show was recovered from the digital depths! So everybody thank Josh, and prepare to listen to our longest episode ever. It features funny tracks by Henry Rollins,Sponge Awareness Foundation, Carrie Dahlby, T.D. Mischke, and the first ever public playing of any material by Cirque du So What?! Also in this episode we have News of the Stupid, we review Cake Wrecks, we discuss the origins of some of our songs, Luke rants incessantly about late 80’s / early 90’s sitcoms on ABC, and tells of his visit to Toy Land!
On Febrary 23rd, 2010, Carrie and I recorded Bad Rapport Episode 10 for 2 hours. Then the audio program we were using froze and we lost the whole thing. I guess that makes us real podcasters now. So, not wanting to go more than 3 weeks without posting something for you guys, I have put together this mostly music episode for you, featuring BaldBox, mc chris, Henry Rollins, Sponge Awareness Foundation, and the Bloodhound Gang. We will try our best to re-record episode 10 before we leave for MarsCon. Thanks for staying with us, loyal listeners, we love you. 🙂
Wow, less than a minute short of our longest episode ever. Good thing it’s chock full of songs sung by Neil Patrick Harris. YES, NEIL PATRICK HARRIS! Carrie reports on ConFusion, Luke reports on VisionCon, Luke tells us the story of when he met Jay Leno (for the record, we’re with Coco), we discuss more obscure TV shows and songs, and we tell the little kids of irresponsible parents to GET OFF OF THE TABLE!!!

How we are able to fill over an hour and a half with so little actual content is beyond me. It must violate some law of physics. Even taking into account the awesome songs by TV’s Kyle, Project Sisyphus, The Nick Atoms, and Sigmund Snopek, that’s still gotta leave about 80 minutes worth of pure filler. Well, there’s also News of the Stupid, which brings it down to 75. A great chunk of that 75 was spent discussing comments from previous episodes (how meta!), Canadian television designed to mind-frak American children (see previous Chili’s episode), and the story of how Chernobyl mutants act when they’ve had too many coconut drinks. At least I’m not so crass as to put a link to my Amazon wish list here just because tomorrow is my birthday.
It’s Part 2 of our first ever combined PodCast! To hear part one, you’ll have to go subscribe to “Blasted Bill & Moonbeam’s Pod Of Destiny”! It’s New Year’s Day 2010, the day after Blasted Bill’s big New Year’s Eve bash, and we’re at a Chili’s with many of our friends (Jered, Bahb, Ken, Kiki, Josh, Sara, Kristi, and Alchav ) having lunch before we go see “Avatar”. Calories were consumed and wackiness did ensue. Featured song “Auld Lang Syne” by the Polish Muslims.
In this episode, embarrassing stories about Luke & Carrie, Luke tells of his awesome experience at the Patton Oswalt concert, we review the CD “n3rds0ngs” by Insane Ian, and Luke rants about retarded Smirnoff Ice commercials. We also play songs by Ridikulus, Tom Smith, and MC Lars, and drop hints about future super cool things with no details like a couple of jerks. Feel free to express your outrage by commenting here at http://badrapport.com, or by calling (916)-LUKE-SKI, emailing badrapport@gmail.com, or leaving a comment for us on our Twitter or Facebook pages.
This week’s episode features all Christmas themed comedy tracks by Mona Abboud, Insane Ian, Patton Oswalt, and RuPaul. We also review the movie “The Princess And The Frog” (don’t worry, there are no spoilers). Of course there’s News of the Stupid, another True Tale of Ignorance from the Caricature stand, and other things I can’t predict because I wrote this description before we recorded the episode. And to you, a wassail too!
I’m sorry, I really am… This episode is 1 hour and 43 minutes long. It was an accident. In my defense, there are 4 songs, the last of which at the tail end of the episode is actually a 10 minute medley of all the songs from the movie “Joe’s Apartment”. The others are by the Chris Waffle Experience,Paul & Storm, and Carrie’s vocal octet, Nothing But Treble. In this episode we contemplate musical stinger themes for the segments of our show, Carrie talks about her trip to Vienna, Austria, Luke rants incessantly about the perceptions of certain children’s movies and calls you all a bunch of f***ing a**holes (again, I’m sorry). There’s also News of the Stupid, Carrie talks some smack about an unnamed celebrity, and some tales of ignorance in which Luke reveals how gullible he was in his mid-20s. Oh, and here’s a link to Smitecast, because Carrie decreed that I put one here. I promise, the episodes will be shorter in the future. Really, I do.
