Episode #141 – Watch Mickey Mouse Or Die!

In the past nearly-4-months since our last episode, the country got safe enough for people to travel again, so this episode has segments recorded when Luke visited Carrie and Alexann in June, when Carrie and Alexann visited Luke in July, when Carrie visited Luke again in August, and Carrie joined Luke online via Zoom for the “What’s Luke Plugging Now?” segment, which because of that ended up being 45 minutes long. It’s the first time “What’s Luke Plugging Now?” was so long that I felt the need to put a song break in the middle of it.

Things discussed in this episode include:
– Alexann’s epic Animal Crossing prank she played on Luke
– Carrie giving Luke the “Colbert Questionnaire”
– Luke’s dream coming true of playing Transformers with Alexann
– Interactions with kittens, lizards, and groundhogs, but no peacocks or parrots
– And MC Bat Commander vs. the Drunken Cowboy at the Orange County Fair!

This episode features comedy & music tracks by Adam Sandler, Insane Ian, Richard Cheese, TV’s Kyle, Tony Goldmark, Art Paul Schlosser, Worm Quartet, Adventure Time, Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), the great Luke Ski, The Lonely Island, The Aquabats!, Mr.B The Gentleman Rhymer, Murs featuring Humpty Hump & Shock G, Puffy AmiYumi, Teen Titans Go!, Knuckleheadz, Mighty Magiswords, Steven Universe, and Flight Of The Conchords.

  1. On a lark I decided to compare the length of this episode to that of the album Derelict Megatower by death’s dynamic shroud, one of the longest albums in the vaporwave genre. Derelict Megatower has a runtime of 4 hours and 1 minute (84 tracks), more than 30 minutes shorter than this episode. *lol* Most impressive.

I too should probably watch Emperor’s New Groove at some point. Took me more than 10 years to get to Lilo & Stitch, much to my great shame.

Oh, before I forget, if there were any Bad Rapport fans who followed my @arkle account on Twitter, it did get suspended, because Twitter Safety apparently thinks invoking the Darwin Awards counts as a death threat (pretty sure murder disqualifies people from even being nominated, but okay) but I’m still on using a really old account my Mom had made for a podcast she and my step-parent did from 2010-2012. It’s @G33kOfAllTrades, and I’ve been personalizing it over the past few months. So feel free to follow me there. Hopefully this one won’t be shut down for an incredibly silly reason.

  2. Me last week: I’m going to be doing a lot of driving this next week. Looks like I’ll be all caught up on my podcasts.
    (a new Bad Rapport drops)
    Cancel that.
