Episode #076 – I’m An Idiot (For Christmas)

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was writing a description for this episode as a parody of “‘Twas The Night Before Christmas'” so just shut the Hell up.

In this episode, Luke tells us about going to see the hilarious stand-up comedy of Chris Hardwick of Nerdist show fame, Luke has some new Caricature stand stories, and Carrie tells us about some of her favorite Christmas music.

Speaking of which, this week’s episode is super-stuffed with some of Luke’s favorite Christmas & Hannukah comedy tracks of the 21st Century by the likes of Cee Lo Green and the Muppets, Patton Oswalt, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Spongebob Squarepants, Denis Leary, The Foremen, Jonathan Coulton, Eric Idle, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Adam Sandler, Lou Monte, TV’s Kyle, Flat 29, Paul and Storm, & The Nick Atoms.

And I heard him exclaim as he flew out of sight, my birthday is in January, so go buy me more presents, dammit!

* Luke and Carrie driving Alex to a museum and almost getting lost.

* Special guest host Ken “Madman” Sherlock talking about movies he’s seen lately, and sports. (Yes, sports!)

Until next time, we’re not here to cause no trouble.

Episode #074 – I’m Gonna Wreck It!

In this episode, Luke tells us all about his & Sara’s vacation to Universal Studios and Disney World as Luke continues to nerd out and celebrate that Walt Disney Animation Studios had their biggest opening weekend for a film ever, making the long awaited “Wreck-It Ralph” #1 at the box office!

Due to busyness and babyness, there wasn’t any real show prep for this episode recorded over the span of 3 days in the past week, so please forgive our rambling, Alex-sound-effect-laiden unpreparedness.

We still have some form of News of the Stupid, and more mouse-related music by Allan Sherman, Tom Smith & the great Luke Ski, and the Buckner & Garcia Band.

But if you have a choice between listening to this episode or seeing “Wreck-It Ralph”, I vote for Ralph.  RALPH 2012!!!

Episode #072 – Brutally Optimistic

It’s our shortest episode in a very long time, at just 1 hour and 20 minutes! Why so short? Because in 3 days we’re posting another SPECIAL episode (remember the Transformers & Muppets specials?) which is likely going to be very LOOONG. Also, our lives are going to be so busy in the coming few weeks, that we might not get a chance to record another episode until after the election. So we wanted to make sure we could squeeze in at least one more regular episode while we had the chance, so we could do our usual segments like News of the Stupid, and play some spooky music for Halloween by Grant Baciocco, TV’s Kyle, Insane Clown Posse, and an ‘Odd New Wave’ classic by Rockwell. Also, Luke recaps Archon, and Carrie tells the scary tale of “The Baby That Wouldn’t Stop Growing!” It crawls! It sprouts teeth! It sits up on it’s own! Run while you still can!!!

Episode #071 – Sad Raspberries

In this episode, Luke Ski finally gives his promised shout-outs to everyone to donated to his Kickstarter, which happens about 4 and a half minutes into the show.

Carrie recounts her recent trip to Michigan and reads a list of Alex’s many nicknames, and Luke tells us a lurid tale of intrigue and criminal behavior from his youth that he’s never told anyone before.

Also in this episode we have News of the Stupid and a whole bunch of classic dementia by comedy music legend Allan Sherman. We also have  The Arrogant Worms, a track from Worm Quartet’s new album “Songs of the Maniacs”, a track from Insane Ian‘s new album “Grand Theft Audio”, and a parody of a Carrie Dahlby song by super-fan “Goofy Gary” Arnold.

Warning: Bad Rapport will not be held responsible if music heard in the background of this episode makes you do the Ed Grimley dance.

Episode #069 – Blow-Off-able

In this episode which is not titled “Lung Biscuits”, Carrie tells us about Alex’s newest skill set, which includes moving himself in a counter-clockwise circle on the carpet.

Also, Luke Ski gives us his report on GenCon Indy 2012, which was most triumphant.

And this being episode 69, we simply must have some sex talk, so Luke & Carrie talk about how they each lost their virginity (no, not with each other).

We also have some masterful comedy tracks by Flat 29, George Carlin, Garfunkel & Oates, Worm Quartet, Henry Phillips, The Lonely Island, The Foremen, Da Vinci’s Notebook, Paul & Storm, The Frantics, Avenue Q, Sudden Death, and Digital Underground.

We think you’ll agree that this episode is most non-heinous.

Episode #067 – Odd New Wave

This episode breaks our previously not kept track of record for the most number of separate days that segments were recorded for it, that being 4.

In this installment of Bad Rapport… Luke continues to experiment with the Zoom H2 recorder… Carrie & Luke review “Rock Of Ages”… Bad Rapport crosses-over with the Scope‘s coverage of ConVergence 2012 (check their latest episode to hear it from their recorder)… Carrie talks about her favorite sugary breakfast cereals…

Also News of the Stupid, and cameo appearances by Jared Ringold, Shane Palmersheim, Sara Trice, Josh Rasey, and Alex the ever-present. Music this episode by Taco, Murray Head, Golden Earring, Thomas Dolby, Timbuk 3, & Falco. Why? Because shut up, that’s why.

At the very end, check out the new FuMPcast ID by Phil Proctor & David Ossman of Firesign Theatre, pictured here with Luke in his Radio Now eyeball hat. Weirdly cool!
